Read the terms and conditions governing your use of Solarity Acres, including community access, digital purchases, and content licensing.

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using solarity.farm (the "Site"), including any courses, digital downloads, community features, or other content and services offered through the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Solarity Acres ("we," "us," or "our"), operated from Canada.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Site and make purchases. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

Services and Products

Solarity Acres offers the following through the Site:

  • Online courses and educational content related to regenerative agriculture, permaculture, and related topics
  • Digital downloads including PDFs, guides, and other resources
  • Gardening and agricultural advice and information
  • Access to a community forum hosted on our self-hosted Flarum platform

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service or product at any time without prior notice.

User Accounts

Certain features of the Site, including community access and purchased content, require you to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password confidential and not share it with third parties
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period.

Purchases and Payment

All prices displayed on the Site are in United States dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated. By making a purchase, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

We use third-party payment processors to handle transactions. Your payment information is subject to the privacy policy and terms of those processors. We do not store your full payment card details.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud, inaccurate pricing, or unavailability.

Refund Policy

All sales are final. Due to the digital nature of our products and the immediate access provided upon purchase, we do not offer refunds on any courses, digital downloads, or community access subscriptions.

Please carefully review product descriptions and any available previews before purchasing. If you experience a technical issue preventing access to a product you have purchased, please contact us and we will work to resolve it.

This no-refund policy does not affect any rights you may have under applicable Canadian consumer protection law.

Community Guidelines and User-Generated Content

Acceptable Use

Our community forum is a space for members to share knowledge, ask questions, and engage respectfully. By participating, you agree not to post content that:

  • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or invasive of another's privacy
  • Contains spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or repetitive content
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Impersonates any person or entity
  • Promotes illegal activities

Your Content

By posting content in the community forum or submitting content to the Site ("User Content"), you grant Solarity Acres a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Site.

You retain ownership of your User Content, but represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to grant this license, and that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.

Moderation

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, edit, or remove any User Content at our sole discretion without notice. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or permanent termination of your account and community access without refund.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site created by Solarity Acres — including text, images, videos, course materials, digital downloads, graphics, and logos — is owned by or licensed to Solarity Acres and is protected by Canadian and international copyright law.

Your purchase of a course or digital download grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, sell, or sublicense any purchased content
  • Share login credentials or access with others
  • Use content for commercial training, resale, or redistribution
  • Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices

Nature of Agricultural and Gardening Advice

The gardening and agricultural content provided on this Site is for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional agronomic, horticultural, veterinary, or legal advice.

Growing conditions, soil types, climate, local regulations, and other factors vary significantly. Solarity Acres makes no representations that any advice or recommendation will produce particular results in your specific situation. You apply any information from this Site at your own risk.

Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage arising from your use of them.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content, products, and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, Solarity Acres shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Site, products, or services.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Solarity Acres in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nova Scotia, Canada.

Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by posting a notice on the Site or by email. Your continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, your account, or any purchased content at our sole discretion without notice for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, third parties, or us. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability — shall survive.
